TAQ Records State Record and New Junior National Cut
TAQ Records State Record and New Junior National Cut
Day two of the TAQ Summer Classic has come to an end and it has been an exciting meet! We are proud to host teams from Tennessee, Mississippi, Texas, and Louisiana.
Lance Michael Rodriguez broke the Louisiana state record in the 11-12 boys 1500 meter freestyle on night one of the meet. Rodriguez also broke the 800 meter freestyle 11-12 boys state record on his way to the 1500 record. Congratulations to Lance Michael and we can not wait to see how the next two days go for this young man!
Joy Jason became Tiger Aquatics newest USA Swimming Junior National qualifier on night two of the Summer Classic. Jason drop from a 1:17.97 to a 1:13.73 for her first Junior National cut. Jason will join fellow TAQ swimmer Grant Grenfell in Palo Alto, California this summer for the championship meet. Congrats to Joy and all of our future qualifiers!
Our coaching staff is very excited about the above accomplishments but we are also very excited about our team performance during the last two days. TAQ swimmers have achieved numerous state, sectional, and lifetime best times. We are very proud of our swimmers and look forward to a great day three!
GEAUX TAQ!!!!
