Join World Record holder Nick Thoman and the TAQ staff for a one day clinic.  Our championship meets are right around the corner and this clinic will give each swimmer an opportunity to learn championship technique from a current World Record holder.  We will be covering technique for all four strokes, starts, and turns.  Swimmers will also have an opportunity to ask questions and learn how one our nation’s best swimmers prepares himself for competition mentally and physically!  This clinic is open to all ages and there is no charge!  Please RSVP with your coach before Friday.

US National Team Highlights

Won a gold medal as part of the 400m medley relay at the 2011 FINA World Championships; also finished fourth in the 100m back and sixth in the 50m back ... Took second in the 100m back and third in the 200m back at the 2011 ConocoPhillips National Championships ... Helped take home the gold in the 400m medley relay (WR) at the 2010 FINA Short Course World Championships ... earned the bronze medal in the 50m back at the 2010  Pan Pacific Championships … set the 100 SCM backstroke world record at the 2009 Duel in the Pool ... won gold in the 100m back at the 2008 U.S. Open ... Won silver as part of the men's 400m medley relay at the 2007 World University Games ... Placed 18th in the 100m back at the 2004 Olympic Trials

NCAA History

Was a three-time All-American in 2005-06 ... Swam the first leg of the first-place 400 medley relay at the 2006 NCAA Championships. Also finished third in both the 100 (46.67) and 200 back (1:41.31)...Finished second in the 200 back at the 2006 Pac-10 Championships (1:42.71), while placing third in the 100 back (47.91) and 17th in the 100 fly (49.51) ... In 2004-05, was a first team All-American in two events and Honorable Mention in one event

            11:00am – Championship Stroke Clinic For All Strokes

            12:30pm – Lunch Break

            1:45pm – Championship Starts and Turns

            2:45pm – Question and Answer Session / Autographs

            3:15pm – Clinic End
