From Coach Jeannine:
WOW! What a great state meet. Congratulations to each and every athlete who participated, this was truly a team effort. Words cannot express the effort put forth by the athletes, parents, and coaches throughout the weekend. It is with great pride to be head coach of such a great organizations. Throughout the meet our athletes and parents showed such great unity, class, and humility. I wouldn't want to be part of any other organization in the state! The coaches are so proud of the way our Tigers performed throughout the weekend.
Tiger Aquatics showed great team unity typically on the relay events.
One of the most memorable relays was the 11-12 girls 200 medley relay who took first from lane 7! (Johannah Cangelosi, Kirby Black, Gabi Fouchi, Jenna Vanhoogstraten) Wow...it was an amazing race.....I am pretty sure the Spar Aquatics Center shook from all the cheering.
While Tiger Aquatics fell short to a close 2nd place, less than 300 points, I feel very confident that we will regain our 2nd place spot this summer without a few DQ's & our older athletes swimming a full load of events.
From Coach Monica:
This was by far the most exciting State meet! We had so many great swims, I don't know where to start. Congratulations to our individual State Champions: Johannah Cangelosi, Thomas Baxter, Mason Nyboer, and Daniel Woodruff. Also, a big congratulations to our 11-12 girls Medley relay State Champions! Words cannot begin to describe how proud I am of the season we had. These kids have worked so hard this year, and many even surprised themselves with their achievements. It gives me great pleasure to coach this wonderful group of athletes. Congratulations again to each of our state meet participants!
From Coach Timmy:
Great job this weekend! Cubs doubled the number of kids that qualified for state, and we are looking forward to even more kids qualifying this summer! Every swimmer raced hard and swam faster or right on his or her best time. The relays were fun to watch and looked even more fun to swim! Congrats to Anacelia for making the A final of the 50 fly as only an 11 year old! Maddi Geyer was 9th in the 50 back and close to making it back in other events as well. I am looking forward to a great season of training!

In conclusion:
As we move forward into the long course season and the next seven-eight months it is even more important to maintain such pride and loyalty to the program. Be prepared for change, accept the change, and ROCK the change. While the change is not permanent it will certainly be a test to the dedication and the adaptability of our athletes, coaches, and parents. Please be reminded that every coach has the best interest of your child and their progress in the sport of swimming. Like always we will be sure to do whatever possible to give them the best opportunity to swim fast!
Thanks,
Your Coaches
